Book Review - Just Six Evenings

Image
JUST SIX EVENINGS  By Tanmay Dubey  Title of the book is quite catchy. Book cover also instantly grabs your attention. It has been designed very immaculately  and gives you an overview about the story.        Male and female protagonist, both ambitious in their own way ; hearts and minds in constant war on the stage of the rich, alluring and dark corporate world.          This story is mainly about Atul Shukla , a boy who fail failed to achieve the said standards in academical upfront but has high ambitions and goals to make it big.                               Just six evenings has turned out to be a fine gripping tale. Love, friendship, betrayal, last, aspirations, ambitions, confrontations - it has all.                Another positive point is that author has successfully added the element of spirituality by the means of Guru's and thus placed it on a seemingly different level than other such novels about romance or corporate world.

Book Review - 1st Job and 10 Mistakes

Image
1st Job and 10 Mistakes by Uttam Kumar 1st job and 10 Mistakes by Uttam Kumar is a guide cumbria workbook in terms of money management and career planning.             It thoroughly and patiently guides even a newbie about 'to do' and 'not to do' list while entering the carrier phase;in financial as well as career aspects. Uttam Kumar has rightly explained the working behind credit. People tend to forget that "Credit is a liability, not luxury" as they mistakenly believe it to be.                         As the author has pointed out,our generation doesn't give much thought to future aspects and probabilities. We are a generation who has learned to spend without thinking further. Although if you would have observed habits of your parents, you will find these financial management traits instilled deeply in them. I loves this book more as savings habits come naturally to me and thus book feels much closer to my thoughts.    Works

Book Review - An Average Guy

Image
An Average Guy by Kshitiz Sudhakar  Cover of this book and title was what attracted me towards it at first. But after reading it,I would say that the saying "Don't Judge a book by its cover" literally suits on it.     Although the cover designer has done a really good job but the same can not be said about the editor.     This is story of Neel who completely lacks determination, one who can not act upon his thoughts and turn them into real action. He rues upon his failures but never really tries to overcome them. He gets distracted by any and everything. An average guy is story of a boy who kept on downgrading his own life and even become the reason of its untimely end. If the cover and the title sparks your curiosity, you will certainly be disappointed on reading the novel.                Narration continuously hangs between first person and third person. Read this book and you will know why a story without proper linguistic aspects gets behind i

The SeekerThe Seeker by Karan Bajaj
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Stupendous, brilliant and engaging - defining greater purpose of life
I am glad that I have read this book.
This is not just one of that motivational book which tells you what you already know. The Seeker tells you about realms beyond our general thinking. It stirs your thoughts, forces you to ponder and makes you a part of the journey.
Book pleasantly brought back to me; ideology embedded in a upnishad katha which I had read in childhood.
Ideology of Advaita vision -
"Aham Brahmasmi, Tvam brahmasmi, sarvam brahmasmi ".
What I couldn't understand at that tender age. THE SEEKER beautifully explained to me.
Presenting all the spiritual aspects and finding purpose of life with such a mindblowing story which never gets dull and keep readers focused, attentive and curious is such a tremendous job.
One can only guess the amount of research and hardwork invested in it.
From Max to Mahadeva - journey will surely bring some transformation into readers too,may be unrecognisable, but then you know - Even a grain of sand brings a wave in ocean....sooner or later.

P.S. - I have received a free copy of this book in exchange of my honest review.

Burning Scars Inside my room, bundled in a corner  I shed tears  with red puffy eyes Lumps in throat by silent crying  My insides screaming  why can't I die?  obstructing my vision is a water wall Brimming on the outline of ophthalmic round Knees upto chin sobs breaking the monotone Day by day, my heart turns into pumping token Emotions scarred trust stomped upon Sympathy, advices and pity like acid poured upon In the light of day nobody see these scars When the darkness dwells each of them stands apart.

Beauty Of Love

BEAUTY OF LOVE  Essence of Life is to realise its worth Some do it easy, some late, some never For some,God makes a pair Silent assurance of Having  Each other's back Faith of arms holding  If one ever fall We made us, Face our demons To stand and Conquer them all Fears abandoned  Hope rekindled Old dark corners dissolving being washed in light Under the Sun, Or in shade Everlasting beauty is, Love that never fade.

Review - The Serpentine Scrolls

Image
THE SERPENTINE SCROLLS   Alcatraz Dey A perfect thriller is what Alcatraz promises and book One of the Colossal series well delivers that. one Moment you think you have sorted it all out,but as you turn to the next page; bingo, you are proved wrong and left to decipher and face another set of secrets and twists. Pivoting around the ideology of "a ll religions being one",this book again reminds us that, "Religions are for Humans,Humans are not for Religions". Blending of fiction and myth, use of mythical symbols and epitomes to describe philosophy of life, along with meticulous detailing presents a perfectly made well garnished soup of words to satitate the readers fully. As quoted from book, "Wisdom is not in knowing everything, but having the ability to analyse and choose good from evil". Ihsin, protagonist of the book; addicted to smoking and beer, deprived of love, thus being emotiona
